This Privacy Policy outlines data collection, processing, and handling practices by ANGIE-owned channels in alignment with the General Data Protection Regulation (EU), a regulation in EU law on data protection and privacy in the European Union (EU).

Who we are

The following policy concerns our website https://h2020-angie.eu/(hereinafter referred to as “the ANGIE website”), as well as external ANGIE-owned channels (further referred to as “ANGIE social profiles”).

Rules we are bound by

This processing operation is subject to Regulation (EU) 2018/1725 of the European Parliament and of the Council of 23 October 2018 on the protection of natural persons with regard to the processing of personal data by the Union institutions, bodies, offices and agencies and on the free movement of such data, and repealing Regulation (EC) No 45/2001 and Decision No 1247/2002/EC. The information in this communication is provided pursuant to Articles 15 and 16 of Regulation (EU) 2018/1725. Personal data is processed in accordance with the following articles of Regulation (EU) 2018/1725:

• Article 5(1)(a), which states that ‘processing is necessary for the performance of a task carried out in the public interest or in the exercise of official authority vested in the Union institution or body’.
• Article 5(1)(c), which states that ‘processing is necessary for the performance of a contract to which the data subject is party or in order to take steps at the request of the data subject prior to entering into a contract’.

• Article 5(1)(d), which states that ‘the data subject has given consent to the processing of his or her personal data for one or more specific purposes’, applicable only to:
  1. the collection of health-related data collected during event registration;
  2. the creation of a mailing list to send information related to other EU-funded project events managed by the Office to participants who have given consent;
  3. the creation of participants list containing contact details and affiliation which will be shared among participants to facilitate networking contact lists for networking purposes. This data will only be processed when the data controller receives the data subject’s freely given, specific, informed and unambiguous consent at the time of registration of the event.
• Article 5(1)(e), which states that ‘processing is necessary in order to protect the vital interests of the data subject or of another natural person’ (applicable only for mobile telephone numbers when they are collected during registration for an event).

Data collected

Personal data is collected and processed in accordance with the data protection guidelines for processing personal data for the purpose of organisation and management of ANGIE meetings and events. The following personal data are collected during the ANGIE Programme application form submission: first name, last name, function, organisation, professional or personal e-mail address.  This information is mandatory for your application.

Purpose

The purpose of this processing operation is to collect personal data of interested persons to the ANGIE Project for the organisation and management of:

1. • Registration of participants to the ANGIE Progamme (to include them in the participants list and to provide access to online workshops, meetings, etc.),
   • Use of the provided data only to process your request to become a participant of the Programme and once your participation is confirmed to communicate with you, and this information will be not shared with a third party without your personal consent.
   • Use your personal data (i.e name, email address and company/organization information) to send you complementary emails on additional information relating to ANGIE project.
   • Use for documentary, information and communication aims, the photographic shots and audio-visual recordings, the name and/or related personal statements and comments, obtained during the activities carried out within the programme.

Additionally, the personal data are collected to allow the management of lists for contacts, invitations, participants, reports, distribution of reports, feedback on reports, follow-up actions, news, publications, feedback collection, distribution of emails informing on future activities related to ANGIE and other information materials through the communication channels of this project.

Workshops are recorded

Please note that the workshops and meetings of the ANGIE Programme will be photographed and recorded, and it is possible that you will be recorded/photographed. This material might be used for related communication activities, to disseminate the activities organized within the project through the website and social channels related to the ANGIE Programme and the ANGIE project material, as well as information sites or media, digital and non-digital, and during events and initiatives promoted for the project dissemination.

Opt-out

Opt-out is provided to participants who prefer their images are neither recorded nor published on any support. If you do not agree with this publication of your personal data, please opt-out where required or inform the data controller by using the contact information below and explicitly specifying your request.

How your data is shared

Personal data related to external participants and visitors is made accessible only on a need-to-know basis to a public mainly comprising ANGIE staff members, external providers and stakeholders, but in certain specific cases some data may also be made available to the general public. Due to reporting requirements, personal data related to participants in certain events/workshops may be made accessible to the EU delegations and authorised staff members of the European Commission. Your data will be kept for a maximum period of twelve months after the end of the ANGIE project. Data will be automatically deleted at the end of this period. Form submissions may be checked through an automated spam detection service.

What rights you have over your data

You have the right to access your personal data and the right to correct any inaccurate or incomplete personal data.
